Sandy Point itself is a small place with the aforementioned shop, & the fish & chippery / cafe / bar. It's pretty nice. Lots of holiday lets, and of course a great beach.

I had a great time staying here, great location close to a beautiful beach and general store/food shop. I can definitely recommend it, the only downside I had was the caretaker was a little bit overbearing the whole time we were there..

To make matters worse the site is currently managed by Neil who has taken over fairly recently. He lacks even the basic skills required to make bookings efficiently?!? He also doesn't give a crap about the customers, seemingly taking delight in informing me that if their tents blow down then it is their problem, & that if people are stupid enough to leave anything in the showers then it is their problem if he throws their stuff in the bin (he threw my sons swimmers in the bin only hours after them being left in there). We were not the only people to note that he seems to be an unsuitable camp ground manager.

Campers should note that it is very exposed to what are often high winds coming off the sea. We survived (just) but many other tents were demolished over the week that we stayed there (family of four). The pitch size was a problem as we could barely fit our modest family sized tent onto it, leaving little or no space for car or other camping paraphernalia. It also meant that our tent was practically touching our neighbours tent.... not exactly conducive to privacy nor lie-ins when your neighbours have a baby...

On the plus side the campsite is very near the beach (which is a great beach for boogie boarding/surfing/sand castle building- and it has lifeguards), and very near the fairly well stocked shop, & also the fish & chippery / cafe / bar. And Wilsons Prom is approx 30 minutes drive away, and is definitely worth a visit.

Seriously lacking charm, this site is pretty much devoid of positive features - no shade, very small pitches, noisy (from the shower water heaters and the fan in the kitchens of the chip shop over the road), old and dirty toilets and showers (that run hot & cold), camp kitchen that doesn't even have a bin, let alone a cooker. And the site is ultimately not attractive to look at,
